Julie Adrian is a writer living with her family in Minnesota on a homestead with chickens and Pyrenean Mountain dogs. Her work has appeared in The Brussels Review, Time of Singing, The Orchards Poetry Journal, and a myriad of other publications. Her first collection of poetry, Under a Private Sky, is published in spring 2024 by Aldrich Press. 

As a first grader, Julie began keeping a journal. After college, she set out to master the craft of writing, working with journalists, editors, and writers in Washington, DC. She currently serves as Chief Editor at Hamilton-Hesse, an educator of poetry in youth, and a state poetry judge. She loves writing about what is there and not seen through imagery in nature. She enjoys hiking, sailing, traveling, skiing, and communing with family and friends.
