Julie Adrian is a writer living with her family in Minnesota on a homestead with chickens and pyrenean mountain dogs. Her work has appeared in The Brussels Review, Time of Singing, The Orchards Poetry Journal, and a myriad of other publications. Her first collection of poetry, Under a Private Sky, was published in spring 2024 by Aldrich Press.

As a first grader, Julie began keeping a journal, to observe the world around her. After college, she embarked across the nation, with the intent to find out what the world was about. To master the craft of writing, she worked with journalists, editors, and writers on national and international programs, in Washington, DC. She currently educates youth, provides readings, and serves as a state poetry judge. She loves writing about what is there and not seen through imagery in nature.
She enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and communing with family and friends.
